This week's Edit Me Challenge photo was provided by Wendy Wright. I really stepped out of the box (and my comfort zone) with this edit - but that is the point, right?
I knew this was going to be a challenge because of that glare....I made a few attempts to get rid of it, but honestly, the attempts were all flops! So, I decided to work with it instead and create a fantasy version of the photo.
I used Photoshop CS to do this edit. First I used the "Rough Pastels" effect on canvas to make the image more artistic. I added a texture layer with a green tint to it to change the coloring and look even more. I then flattened the layers and added the angled brush filter to give it a more painted feel. I then added the stars and sunbeam to accentuate that glare, and finally added the grass layer as I thought it would make it more Pixie Hollow'ish'!

Pixie Hollow'ish it is! Totally looks like you are comfortable editing pictures like this. You did a great job of working with the glare instead of fighting it! Thanks for a great edit of my boys!
ReplyDeleteI won't even try editing this one - too much of a challenge for me, but I LOVE seeing the edits from others. Yours is one of the best so far - in my opinion. I love the grass, it looks so natural:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative way to hide that glare! This is so magical.
ReplyDeleteGreat edit! Love how you added the grass!
ReplyDeleteVery creative and realistic.
ReplyDeleteLove the grass and you've removed just the right amount of background images.
Cool!
I love this! Very creative & very much Disney!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, honestly? This edit is about as perfect as it gets! The way you made the glare look purposeful? Brilliant! Whimsical and fun! I love it!
